Libertarian Party Candidates

Soumen Deb
Don Valley West

Hi. my name is Soumen Deb and I'm running for the Libertarian Party of Canada in Don Valley West.

The Don Valley West riding is bounded as follows: Yonge Street in the West, Highway 401 in the North, Highway 404 / Don East River East Branch in the East, and Moore Park Ravine / Millwood Road in the South.

My Platform

  • Greater personal freedom (freedom of self-expression, freedom of association, artistic freedom, freedom of ownership)
  • Greater economic freedom (zero income tax, break monopolies in all industries)
  • Increased commercial freedom (deregulation, more competition, no red tape)
  • Competition among unions (more choice, better deals, no sell-outs)
  • Barrier-free trade (unfettered trade, duty-free)

If the above platform matches your own ideals, then do yourself a favour by marking an 'X' next to "DEB, Soumen" on any ballot that has my name on it.

I'm twenty-nine years old and work 24 hours a day as a sales representative for North America's finest logistics firm: Gallop Logistics. I live on Ferrand Drive in the Flemingdon Park area of Don Mills.

I went to Don Mills Collegiate and then on to Queen's University where I studied business. My family came to Canada from India in 1971, and I was born here in Toronto in 1976. I’ve lived in Don Valley West for fifteen years. I'm also inventing a new power generation system, I believe in protecting the environment through market forces and grassroots action, and I am an automobile enthusiast. Give me a call or send me an email if you would like to know more.

It's not too late to make the pain stop. Vote for Soumen Deb on January 23rd, 2006.
